Yesterday, as I stepped outdoors to take my dog for one of his first morning outings, was one of the most beautiful and massive butterflies I'd ever seen and as I noticed later on in the morning, butterflies were in abundance everywhere! Unfortunately, the photos below just don't capture the true perfection of this creature. But boy, did she really make up for my accidentally deleting 100 photos from my July 4th outing!

I.LOVE. Butterflies! I've been looking for some myself, but always seem to see them at work when I can't walk around snapping pics - dammit.
Tug, I see butterflies all the time but none like this! This was a photo op of a lifetime as the butterfly was right near where I was walking the dog. When it comes to being able to capture pictures like this, I think it's just luck.
I have milkweed planted at the homestead so I get lots of monarchs. You should try planting some, it would do well in your area! Then not only will you get the butterflies but the coccoons as well. They're fun to watch!
